Designer Jeff Akseizer’s House: For Sale!

If you’ve ever been house hunting, you know what a slog it is to go from house to house, and it seems like each one is a “before” picture that’s going to require a lot of work. That’s why it’s like hitting the jackpot if you land on a house that’s owned by an interior designer. I’m sure that’s what the buyer of Lauren Liess’ published and blogged-about home must have been thinking after they snagged it within the first hours of its listing last week.

So here’s another chance: Designer Jeff Akseizer, whose gorgeous work we’ve seen in consecutive DC Design House shows, is selling his house in Arlington. Here’s the official listing for 3931 N. Glebe Road, which is holding an open house tomorrow, on Aug. 9:

I will miss Jeff living so close, as I frequently jog by his house, but at the same time, I can’t wait to see what he does to the new house he’s buying in Alexandria, which is much closer to his office.

In the meantime, these pictures will tell you that there’s no mistaking a design professional owns this house.

If anyone is house-hunting on this beautiful weekend, looking for a prime address in Arlington, put Jeff’s house on your list!

  1. Love everything about this house and was so happy for Lauren that her place sold so quickly. Doesn’t really happen in southern California! Arlington and Alexandria are two of our favorite spots in this country….wish I could move right into this place! Thanks for sharing.

  2. I know where that is! I’m going to walk over tomorrow and check it out. Hope you’re having a good summer. Let’s connect in Sep!
